Delia A. (Dee) Kreiling
National President 2010-2011

(Dee) Kreiling of AMVETS National Ladies Auxiliary #60, North
Braddock, Pennsylvania, was elected AMVETS National Ladies Auxiliary
President for 2010-2011 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dee re-organized the AMVETS Ladies
Auxiliary Post 60 in North Braddock on June 1992. She is a Life
Member of Auxiliary #60 and member of Post 60 and Department of
Pennsylvania Color Guard Unit. On the Department Level she was 3rd,
2nd, 3rd Vice President and was elected
Department President in June 2003. In 2001, Dee was honored as the
AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Department of Pennsylvania Member of the
Year. Dee is also a member of Jenny Wade Sackettes.
On the National Level, Dee served on
numerous committees including Membership, Community Service, Child
Welfare and held elected offices as National Sergeant-at-Arms,
National Americanism Officer, National Third Vice President,
National 2nd Vice President and National 1st
Vice President.
Dee enthusiastically addresses
veterans’ issues in her community and beyond. She has participated
in ceremonies for Memorial Day, Pearl Harbor Day, and Veterans Day,
and is a frequent participant to high school and college ROTC
programs. She is very active in recruitment and fundraising for
Veterans. She attends numerous dedication services and testimonial
dinners in support of AMVETS and AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary. She has
received many awards including “Leader of Excellence” citation and
pin by the University of Pittsburgh ROTC Department, the
Chancellor’s Award for Excellence” in Service to the Community.
Several of her student employees serving in different units in Iraq
nominated her to receive (4) Patriotic Employer certificates and
pins from the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard
and Reserve Units. On Mother’s Day 2005, an American Flag was
flying in Iraq in her name. She retired from the University of
Pittsburgh on June 30, 2010, after 44 years, as the Coordinator of
Veterans Services
Dee resides in Forest Hills,
Pennsylvania with her companion, Rege Riley who is foreman in the
Engineering Department of CSX Transportation. She is the daughter
of the late Elmer “Pickles” and Margaret Kreiling, sister of Frances
Opiela, Kathleen Plante, brother Elmer and the late Mary Margaret
(Flub) Fausto and Howard Kreiling. “Mamma Dee” as she is
affectionately known at her Local as well as throughout Pennsylvania
is Aunt to thirty nieces and nephews and twenty great nieces &
nephews and stepmother to Rege’s son, Corey.
